• First, Clean out all appliances!  Ensure all inside have been washed and packed
• ALL APPLIANCES SHOULD BE DRIED OUT 48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR MOVE. Leave the doors open overnight. 
• Turn off water from appliances and disconnect waterlines from your refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher. 
• Unplug any power cords from the outlets and hand-wash any removable parts. Make sure to keep in them in a safe place.   

Refrigerator 

• Clean the evaporator pan and empty the reservoir from your refrigerator and let it dry. 
• You made need professional assistance to disconnect icemaker and water dispenser lines from your refrigerator. 
• Vacuum the compressor, air filter, and coils. 

Stove/Oven/Range

• If you are moving a gas oven, have the gas line disconnected and reconnected professionally 
• Clean stove top, any grease left on a stovetop will collect dust and leave spots. 
• No professional servicing is needed for an electric range. 

Laundry Room 

• Washing machine and dryer must be serviced; hoses must be dry and detached. 
• Front load washers must be blocked, see your users manual for instructions, you may need professional assistance. 
• Gas dryers must be disconnected professionally 

Extra tips: 

• To deodorize appliances, place dry coffee grinds into a sock and it will eliminate any odors. 
• If you are putting your things in storage, put a few tea bags in your fridge/freezer so any moisture left in the appliance will dry up and mould build up.
